A native Floridian, Dr. Larissa Hanson was born in Winter Park and grew up in the Daytona Beach area. Along with her husband Glen, she homeschools their two children with a focus on morals, ethics, and preparing them to be productive citizens. Dr. Hanson attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2014, and established The Pampered Tooth to serve the Port Orange community with exceptional dental care.
Her commitment to excellence extends beyond her initial education. In 2025, Dr. Hanson completed the Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Dental Implant Continuum through the University of Florida and Implant Educators Academy. This advanced six-month program utilizes CBCT 3D-guided surgical techniques and satisfies requirements for a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), which she is currently pursuing.
Dr. Hanson has attended the Florida Dental Convention in Orlando for over 20 years, pursuing continuing education in subjects ranging from dental implantology, dental nutrition education, periodontal disease, oral cancer, TMJ disorders, restorative and implant dentistry utilizing 3D intraoral scanning, oral surgery, preventive dentistry, orthodontics, occlusal rehabilitation, and updates in dental technology.
Her passion for dentistry stems from her love of science and desire to positively impact people's lives by improving their health, confidence, and quality of life. She finds fulfillment in the unique blend of healthcare and artistry that dentistry offers, allowing her to build strong long-term relationships with patients. Dr. Hanson believes in creating a practice environment where every patient feels valued, respected, and understood—free from bias or preconceived notions.
Dr. Hanson's calm and compassionate demeanor, combined with her teaching approach to patient care, has gained her the trust of patients throughout Port Orange and beyond. Her ultimate goal is to help all patients develop and maintain healthy, lasting smiles!
